Kellie Rongo - Head Coach
Kellie recently relocated to the Charleston area from Upstate, NY where she owned a personal training business with athletes/clients from the age of 12 all the way up to 75, as well as working with a high school weightlifting club and helping a few young ladies compete in powerlifting competitions. She has a strong passion for overall strength & conditioning, powerlifting, kettlebell and sandbag training, mobility, and the science of nutrition.
Kellie is a former athlete of soccer, basketball, and softball and has coached young athletes in each of those sports during her career. Currently, she specializes in 1 on 1 and small group personal training, training young athletes, durability & injury prevention, indoor/outdoor boot camps, meal plans & nutrition coaching.
In her free time, you’ll find her exploring/hiking in the mountains, running 5k and 10k races around the Lowcountry, or somewhere near the water! She is pridefully dedicated to being a leader in helping others live a healthier, longer and happier life, both mentally and physically

Charlie Bausman - Owner & Coach
Charlie has been actively engaged in coaching strength and conditioning since 2009. His first experience was coaching at Lowcountry Crossfit until graduating from the College of Charleston and entering the United States Marine Corps as a USMC Infantry Officer.
Following five years of service, Charlie began working for Mountain Tactical Institute (MTI) in Jackson, WY. MTI is the parent company to Military Athlete and Mountain Athlete which focused on mountain professionals, military forces, law enforcement, and fire/rescue personnel.
Charlie has designed and implemented training programs for Olympic athletes, mountain guides, pro skiers, law enforcement, fire/rescue, and the full spectrum of military personnel.
As an athlete, he has competed in boxing, brazilian jiu-jitsu, mountain triathlons, mountain biking, ultra-marathons, and college football. He also competed in the South East Crossfit Regionals as an individual competitor.
Along with coaching at LOD Athlete, Charlie is a full time fire fighter with the City of Charleston Fire Department
